Large Scholarships for Ethiopian-Israeli Students to
Research the Beta Israel
The need for more Ethiopian students studying the
Beta Israel was identified in the Addis Abeba
conference. We are delighted to announce that
SOSTEJE initiated a move whereby the Center for
Absorption in Science at the Ministry of Absorption
will grant large scholarships for Israeli students
of Ethiopian origin, who wish to research their own
community. These grants will be given to Ethiopian
students who have an M.A. degree and are either
continuing to a Ph.d. or are involved in research
under the supervision of a researcher/lecturer at a
recognized university or college. One such grant has
already been approved at the Weizman Institute.
Attached is the announcement sent out by Mr. Omri
Ingber to all universities and colleges in Israel.
Aynor Fund Scholarships
The Aynor Fund, named after the late Ambassador
Aynor and run by his wife, Sara Aynor, will be
allocating student scholarships to qualified
students at its annual ceremony to take place this
year on 1.1.2006. |
