Report on The First Sosteje - Israel AGM

The SOSTEJE Israel Committee held its first AGM on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Ben-Zvi Institute, Abarbanel St., Rehavia, Jerusalem from 15.00-16.00. All members were invited to attend. The 2005-6 financial report was approved, and the Israel committee was elected as below.

The AGM was followed by a symposium on the “State of Research into the Integration of Ethiopian Jews in Israel” on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Ben-Zvi Institute from 16.00 – 19.30. Prof. Eli Leshem of the Hebrew University presented recent findings and a panel consisting of Prof. Michael Corinaldi, Dr. Malka Shabtay and Dr. Lisa Anteby-Yemini debated different aspects of integration. A lively discussion ensued.
